The majority of America’s business and political leaders are in their 50s and beyond.  Learn how to maintain your health and productivity as you age.

Backpacking Basics

An Eagle Scout, Dr. Ward is active in scouting and backpacking.  He has backpacked Philmont and sections of the Alps in Switzerland.  This Backpacking Basics workshop includes how to properly select/fit a pack, correctly pack a pack, and essentials to bring.

Balance and Fall Prevention

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), one out of three adults age 65 and older falls each year but less than half talk to their healthcare providers about it.  Falls are also the leading cause of injury and death in this age group.  Learn what you can do to ensure the safety of yourself, your parents or your grandparents.

A variety of painful conditions including headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain and back pain can be attributed to the work environment.  This is especially true if you spend several hours a day on a computer.  Learn how stretches and changes in your work space can have a big impact.

Trigger points are hyperirritable bands of muscle (sometimes referred to as muscle knots).  Learn a trigger point release technique that will enable you to ease your muscle tension in this hands-on workshop.
